Arizona Cardinals Head coach Jonathan Gannon is being investigated by the NFLPA after he turned out to strike back Emari Demercado after his expensive fumble in Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans, according to a report.
The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) told USA Today that it “investigates” the heated sideline interaction in the fourth quarter that came after Demercado fell the ball before reaching the finish line in what would have been a 76-yard touchdown.

The result would have given Arizona a 21-point lead late in the game, but instead the ball jumped out of the back of the final zone, resulting in a touchback and revenue. The titans Run from behind to win the game 22-21.

Videos on social media showed a tense interaction between Gannon and Demercado. Gannon seemed to beat Demercado in the Mid Section, though it was not entirely visible in the exchange caught during the broadcast.
Gannon approached the situation Monday and said he “didn’t feel good about it” the morning after.

“So at the team meeting, I approached it, I apologized for Emari, apologized for the team. I just told them I let the moment what happened get better off of me.”
Sunday’s loss marked Cardinals’ third straight loss.

“I try to be emotionally stable and calm because my job of solving problems during the game,” Gannon continued. “It’s not really who I am, who I want to be and I told guys it today. So it’s a mistake of me.”
