NHL Trade News: Bruins moves Brad Marchand to Panthers

Boston Bruins has shocked the hockey world, reportedly traded franchise legend Brad Marchand to Florida Panthers before the NHL trading deadline on Friday.

Marchand had spinal rows that swirled around him considering that he is a pending free agent, but it was always expected that he and Bruins would reach an agreement for his short -term future after 16 years.

But Bruins decided to move him to one of their bitter rivals in the past few seasons. ESPN’s Emily Kaplan reported that the agreement will be performed pending a trade call.

“Think everyone is anesthetized,” Kaplan said in his report, adding that Marchand rehabes an injury in Boston.

Marchand, a third -round choice of Bruins in 2010, helped the organization win the Stanley Cup in its second season.
