Niall Horan has steered in a different direction for his new album, Dinner partyand also embraced a change of sound.
The 32-year-old Irish musician revealed that he was experimenting with a rock sound on his album, which will be released on June 5, and Olivia Rodrigo served as his inspiration in that sense.
“I feel like Olivia was kind of inspirational in the sense that the radio started playing her stuff and it sounded really live, really stoned,” the One Direction alum shared in a new interview.
Fans on social media went into a frenzy as their already high expectations turned into even more anticipation after Horan announced this creative shift in his upcoming work.

So far, Horan has given a single glimpse of his album in the form of his title track and single, Dinner party which was published on 20 March.
After his album release, the Slow hands the singer is on tour starting on September 22.
