In his long career, Nicole Kidman has been asked many questions. But never about an aspect of her motherhood.
Then in a chat with LureWas she asked, “Do you like who you are as a mother?”
First, the Oscar winner acknowledged that she had never been asked that question before.
Then she replied, “I actually do. Yes,” added, “I’m very close to both of my girls. I sit on their beds and discuss the most intimate things; I become their guide. If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can.”
The Babygirl Star further dived in detail about her relationship with her children, “I am able to apologize to them. I am able to stand up to them. I like the relationship we have. It’s nice to be able to say that.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Nicole, who recently lost her mother, reflected over her bond with her. “Losing my mother changed every part of me,” she said.
The 57-year-old continued, I spoke to her every two or third day. And because she was on the other side of the world. “
“If I woke up at 5am, I would get up, I’d go around the block and I’d talk to her for an hour before the girls got up before Keith got up. That was the rhythm of my day,” she added.
Meanwhile, Nicole is open to the value of having a family. She has been married twice and shares four children.
