Miami Hurricane’s football coach Mario Cristobal made it clear to anyone who was thinking of trying to pull out a name, image and equality (zero) that it would not be tolerated.
Cristobal talked about his own program when asked about the trial with Tennessee -Freaths. Quarterback Nico Iamaleeava allegedly entered the transfer portal after he sat out of practice while trying to renegotiate his own zero agreement.
The problem reverberates through college football.

“We don’t want to do it on Miami, and I say it without hesitation,” he told journalists after the Spring Games of the Hurrican via Sun Sentinel. “If anyone thinks that – and they could be the best player in the world – if they want to play teams out, they might as well play to come out. We won’t do it and we don’t want Miami to be. For many guys have sweat and soft and put it on the line in that field to ever become that kind of program.”
Cristol said coaches would not give a player the opportunity to hold their program as hostages.
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel spoke to Vol Network on Saturday and noticed that although this is the current state of university sports, it does not mean that the team will finish in second place.

“It’s the state of college football,” Heupel said. “At the end of the day nobody ever is bigger than the program. It also includes me.
“We have an opportunity. We have a lot of guys who will give everything for Tennessee. We move on. Got a fantastic group. Let’s go in competition.”
Iamaleeava is considered one of the top quarterback views in college football coming into the 2025-26 season. However, he wanted to renegotiate his Nile Agreement of $ 10 million with Tennessee spans several years, according to ESPN.
