Nintendo has revealed a new way for players to customize Switch 2’s GL/GR buttons.
In a new post that was shared on the Nintendo Today app, the company offered an instructional overview video showing how Switch 2’s GL/GR/Gnaps work and can easily be switched to any game (via gamspot).
Using Mario Kart WorldNintendo demonstrated that after the launch of the game to the start menu, players can bring the fast setting menu, roll down and map the GL and GR buttons for whatever button they want, like A or B.
After awarding buttons, players can leave the menu and return to the game and make the process quick and simple.

In the event that you missed it, the GL and GL buttons are only available on the Joy-Con 2 charging grip and Pro Controller 2, both of which are sold separately from Switch 2.
The handheld magnetically attached Joy-Con 2 controllers do not offer the feature.
Nintendo Switch 2 will be launched globally on June 5, 2025 for $ 449.99 / £ 395.99. The British pre -orders and US pre -orders are now live.
Pro Controller 2 Costs $ 79.99 / £ 74.99, and Joy-Con charging grip will be priced at $ 40 / £ 30.
