NJ WRESTLING: Anthony Knox wins regional title after the ban has been lifted

A wrestling star in New Jersey High School won a regional title on Saturday after a referee’s decision to overturn him over a match in the stands during the district tournament last week.

Anthony Knox from St. John Vianney High School in Holmdel, caused the gap to fight in the competition of £ 126 at Lacey High School on Friday night. A judge overturned New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA) to disqualify him after KNOX was involved in a fight in the stands during the district tournament.

Knox is now on a road to win its fourth straight state title in the NJSIAA Wrestling Championships in Atlantic City this coming weekend. NJSIAA requested a stay in the judge’s decision, which, if approved, could mean that Knox would be sidelined for the tournament.
