Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur on Tuesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) entrusted and warned that any movement to overthrow the provincial government through constitutional means would not succeed.

“No matter how hard they try, our government cannot be reduced by constitutional means,” Gandapur said. “If someone thinks they can overthrow our government I’ll challenge them – I want to end politics.”

“Anyone who thinks they can create divisions within PTI is wrong,” CM Gandapur told a press conference when he was flanked by PTI’s central leadership after a party meeting in Islamabad.

The KP chief minister claimed that today’s meeting conveyed a clear message of unity within the party.

“Our authority and this government are completely part of the PTI founder. Every time he gives the order, the government can dissolve,” he said, adding, “You can’t achieve anything constitutional.”

‘Attacks on the judiciary’

As he moves forward, he said the constitution had been violated and PTI’s mandate had been stolen. Gandapur condemned the 26th constitutional amendment and called it an “attack on the judiciary” and a “spot on Pakistan’s judicial and democratic systems.”

“May 9 was just a pretext – the real goal was the founder of our party,” he added, claiming that lobbying against PTI and that he was pressed to make statements against the PTI founder while he was in custody.

Gandapur claimed he was taken over Pakistan and repeatedly asked to end PTI. “Our mandate was first stolen, and then our reserved seats were snapped,” he said.

As for the Kurram question, he said it was a hereditary problem and the road had remained open in the last four months. “Talk to your neighbors, change your policy. A neighboring country has defeated global powers, this limit is not sure,” he warned.

He claimed there was a plan to impose an emergency in KP. “When the PTI founder was out of jail, he talked about negotiations.”

‘Seats caught’

PTI chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan said PTI founder Imran Khan has always called for dialogue.

“We reviewed the letter regarding negotiations with retained leaders. He has always emphasized meaningful dialogue. Anyone who is eager to bring a non-confidence movement are welcome to try. Each plan is performed only on the PTI founder’s instructions.”

He said that PTI leaders were elected with the founder’s votes and that the goal of today’s meeting was to demonstrate unity. “After this development, our seats were snapped. References were sent against our MNAs and penalties were imposed. When we requested meetings on KP’s budget, they were denied.”

Barrister Gohar claimed, “We will defend the KP government at all costs. Those who want to bring a movement without confidence lack the number. PTI’s government will continue and will continue. If negotiating, concrete steps must be taken.”

To his part, PTI General Secretary Salman Akram Raja said that February 8 was historical people came out in large numbers.
