Karachi:
Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) announced Friday that there would be no gas suspension on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH).
In a statement, the company said the planned shutdown overnight – from 1 p.m. 23 to the morning – has been exposed in honor of the religious apartment.
“This decision has been made by the management of consumers’ convenience,” the statement says.
SSGC spokesman confirmed that uninterrupted gas supply would be secured until 1 p.m. 22 Saturday (today).
“Load Management scheduled for Friday- Saturday night has been postponed and there will be no interruption in the gas supply tonight,” the spokesman added.

It is relevant to mention that households in Karachi experience gas loading at night all year due to threatening gas crisis in the country.
The Sindh government announced a two-day holiday on September 5 and 6 in connection with Eid Milad-Un-Nabi (PBUH).
A review issued Wednesday confirmed that the holiday would be complied with throughout the province. The holiday corresponds to the 12th of Rabi-Ul-Awwal, which marks the Prophet of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The federal government also declared September 6 as a nationwide holiday to mark the religious apartment.
