Friday is expected to bring similar conditions – and dry weather across ordinary areas with chances of insulated showers in the upper parts.
Over the past 24 hours, light rain was registered in isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, including Cherat (3mm), Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu (1 mm) and a track in Rawalpindi. Dry weather lasted in most other areas.
Authorities have advised residents to take precautions, remain indoors in the peak load and remain hydrated when the hot and dry spells continue.
