In February, the Super Bowl winner and the fast wide -ranging are receiving Tirek Hill and the “Fastest Man of the World”, Noah Lyles, reaching a deal.
While the two sports stars agreed to squares in a race to determine who is really the fastest, the highly expected event is actually not happening, according to Lyles.
The 27-year-old, who won gold of 100 meters at last summer’s Paris Olympics, attended this week’s Cannes Lions Festival in France. During the stage performance, Lyles quoted “complications” and “personal reasons” as he gave an update on the status of the race.

Lyles suggested that planning was in its last stages and the two athletes initially intended to compete as soon as this weekend.

“We were very deep in creating the event. In fact, it should happen this weekend,” Lyles said via the New York Post. “Unfortunately, there were some things, complications, personal reasons why it just didn’t happen, but we were full of.”

Lyles added that New York’s famous Times Square would probably have been the place of the event.
“We should have a big event. We were going to close the New York Times Square and all. We should have all the advertising boards for the event. That would be a lot of fun.”

Hill recently shared a video in his social media account showing him who worked with his sprinting as he prepared for the friendly competition with Lyles.
The video showed the eight-time Pro Bowl recipient, who finished 100 meters at the last chance Sprint Series event in California in 10.15 seconds.
It remains unclear whether the race between Lyles and Hill will be re -planned to a later date.
