- Nordpass now supports attachments of your main documents
- Set reminders of updating your copies when they expire
- The usual Nordpass encryption methods still apply
Top Password Manager Nordpass has revealed that it now supports document storage to ensure that all your most important files are kept safe and healthy.
From today, users can now store documents (such as IDs, driving licenses and passports) in an encrypted vault.
Documents can be uploaded as scans, images or other file types with the option of creating custom fields for quick reference within Han vault.
Nordpass -Document storage
The company explained that the new feature comes in response to uncertain storage seen worldwide – many individuals simply hold a photo of their sensitive information in their photo library.
“People are struggling to store and manage their physical documents safely … These essential documents are often incorrectly placed, difficult to access when needed, or forgotten until they expire, leading to unanswered renewals and unnecessary stress,” explained chief of core product Chandra Challa.
All stored data is encrypted using the XCHACHA20, enabling them to be available across all submitted devices. Families can also use Nordpass to store essential items, such as marriage and birth certificates and insurance papers.
In its message, the company boasted the function built -in reminders. By assigning an expiry date, users will be reminded to update their documents once they are renewed so that the latest copy is always available in their vault, which enables trouble -free data enclosure for online purchases and more.
Nordpass comes in three different variants – free, premium (for individual users) and family (for up to six users). Documents are available for all levels, but free users cannot upload attachments, confirmed a company’s spokesman.
Although the possibility of saving important document information is not new (Dashlane, 1password and Proton Pass all support secure notes), it is to be able to hold a photocopy of these documents that separate Nordpass from its key password administrator rivals.
In the years since it was launched, Nordpass has become so much more than a simple password administrator that supports multifactor coding codes and email masking.
