NSC gather today in the middle of Modis Sabre-Rattling

Islamabad/Karachi:

A number of knee-ridges punitive measures from India, angry rhetoric from its politicians and Sabre rattling from its jingoist media have sharply escalated tensions between the two hyphen neighbors on Wednesday. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif convened an emergency meeting in the most important National Security Forum Thursday (today) to vomit Pakistan’s response.

Participants at the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting – which was called after New Delhi formally accused Pakistan of the PeHalgam attack – will include all services, management members and other top officials.

“Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif has convened the meeting of the National Security Committee on Thursday morning, April 24, 2025, to respond to the Indian government’s statement about this evening,” wrote Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, who also has the portfolio of Foreign Minister, written on microblogging -place X.

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar called Indian decisions as unreasonable and said New Delhi had not provided any evidence but resort to such unsustainable measures.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry offered compassion for the loss of tourist life. “We are concerned about the loss of tourists’ life in an attack in Anantnag district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. We are expanding our condolences to the closest of the deceased and wishing the wounded a rapid improvement,” the Foreign Office said in a statement.

Sources said the NSC meeting would undergo the overall security situation and get a strategy in the wake of fear of a potential all-out conflict with India.

Meanwhile, sources of the Express Pakinomist told the government has decided to give a strong diplomatic response to India’s Brinkmanship and false propaganda against Pakistan after the Pahagam attack.

“The Indian drama will be exposed to all international forums. [Prime Minister Narendra] The modi government will be exposed to, and any strategy in India will be averted at global level through diplomatic means, “a source said.

According to sources, consultations are underway at the highest level and any future strategy will be approved by the Prime Minister. The sources said that Pakistan has already rejected India’s past claims, and this time the Modi government has no evidence to substantiate its claims.
