- NVIDIA RTX 5060 and 5060 TI could be announced tomorrow, prior to the game developer conference next week
- This would be a first reveal with the GPUs possibly sold in April
- However, there is no mention of an RTX 5050 in this latest rumor, which was also previously rumored to hit the shelves in April
NVIDIA is set to loosen its RTX 5060 TI and RTX 5060 GPUs tomorrow, or that’s the fresh word from the vine stairs.
Videocardz claims that Nvidia has just informed the press on these models and that the RTX 5060 TI and RTX 5060 will be revealed tomorrow, March 13, as part of an update ahead of Game Developers Conference (GDC), which will happen next week.
We are not told anything beyond that, or given any alleged specifications at the last minute to the RTX 5060 TI or Vanilla 5060, but the claim at this time is that the rumors are likely to be on the money.
That’s the case, here’s what you can expect to see: A RTX 5060 with 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM and a RTX 5060 Ti model that has the same 8 GB memory configuration, but comes with an RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB. In other words, these new graphics cards will theoretically mirrors VRAM pools in the existing RTX 4060 models.
In theory, the RTX 5060 will have 3,840 cuda kernels, where the RTX 5060 Ti gets 4,608. Power consumption will reportedly be beaten to 150W and 180W respectively.
Remember this would just be a message tomorrow and the RTX 5060 graphics card is suddenly not available this week. These three different models are likely to hit the shelves in April, though based on humming elsewhere from grapes.
Analysis: Another crucial middle-class GPU clash
So far, Blackwell rumors have been pretty much spot-on in terms of accuracy, so I would not argue with the specifications that have been required up to this point. Of course we have to remember that they could Be wrong and in fact this info about a launch tomorrow can also be fake (or nvidia can potentially change your mind at the last minute).
Given that we have been treated with much more rumors of the RTX 5060 models too late, it makes sense that they are imminent. A couple of well -known delicious has already speculated that NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 GPUs may be revealed this week (or next).
This is an important launch for Nvidia because AMD has done very well with the introduction of its new RX 9070 XT (and RX 9070), very disturbing Team Green’s RTX 5070 stall. Since the RX 9060 is ready for a Q2 launch and causes excitement among players due to success with the 9070 cards, Nvidia needs to ensure that the perception of its blackwell models is not further damaged in the middle class.
In fact, Nvidia seems to have a lower level Desktop GPU, a potential RTX 5050 that also waits in the wings (the first real budget RTX model since 3050 because 4050 was only laptop). While we’ve heard theories that this graphics card may also look at an April release, there is no mention of the RTX 5050 in particular with this fresh reputation. It lets me wonder if it might be further down the line now.
Every time (or if) it emerges, there is some hope that the RTX 5050 can be a serious wallet -friendly GPU, because as mentioned, Nvidia has to get back in the game here. Interesting times actually, and of course, pricing and stock levels are definitely key factors – and AMD continues to make positive sounds on the GPU supply front.
