Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs have shown some significant benefits when it comes to handling 3D work over comparable Intel and AMD cards, new numbers have claimed.
The latest Puget Systems After Effects -Bnechmarks says Nvidia’s flagship GeForce RTX 4090 delivered up to 20 times the performance of Apple’s MacBook Pro M3 Max in 3D tasks; Reflects the card’s technical design focus on GPU-intensive workload.
4090, equipped with 24 GB GDDR6X memory and 16,384 Cuda Kernes, almost doubles the performance of its own middle RTX 4060 in the advanced 3D tests that use Adobe’s advanced 3D rendering engine, which is highly dependent on GPU acceleration.
Nvidia RTX 4090 surpasses its rivals
Compared, RTX 4060, with 8 GB GDDR6 memory and 3,072 CUDA -Kernes, AMDS flagship Radeon RX 7900 XTX, which boasts 24 GB GDDR6 memory and 6,144 power processors.
Despite its superior memory capacity, Radeon GPU RTX 4060 spales with 25% in the total 3D performance.
Intels ARC GPUs, such as ARC B580 with 12 GB of VRAM and 3,456 cores, also lacks Nvidia’s middle-class offering, which draws the RTX 4060 by approx. 22%.
Apple’s M3 Max, equipped with 40 GPU cores, performs about 10 times slower than the RTX 4060 in GPU accelerated 3D tasks.
While NVIDIA leads in 3D reproduction, however, Apple’s M3 Max works well in 2D workflows due to its CPU efficiency. MacBook Pro is distinguished in projects that emphasize 2D layers and effects in which GPU performance plays a secondary role. Nevertheless, NVIDIA and Apple Systems for CPU-dependent tracking tasks are similar in a similar way.
Nvidia owes its dominance in After Effects 3D workflows for its advanced GPU architecture and software integration. For example, the RTX 4090 comes with technologies such as ADA Lovelace Architecture and the Cuda frame that optimizes 3D GPU.
