- Nvidia has released another driver Hotfix in the middle of frequent updates in recent months
- Hotfix is coming after Game Ready Driver 576.52
- Users are still reporting problems with black screen, months after the original revelation of the abdomen
Nvidia has been at the center of controvers since its RTX 5000 series Blackwell GPU launch, with problems regarding lack of specifications and driver problems widespread -and unfortunately the latter is still a trend after several updates.
As reported by Videocardz, Nvidia released a new GeForce Hotfix 576.66 Driver coming after the game Ready Driver 576.52, to arrange and address more game accidents and bugs. It’s another addition to the frequent NVIDIA games ready drivers and hotfix updates in recent months, most of which have apparently failed to tackle some of the long-term problems.
Although it does not seem to affect all users, the RTX 4000 and some RTX 5000 GPU series owners have expressed frustrations with regard to the notorious black screen problem, which now mostly seems to occur on reboot (even without driver installation). It seems a little different from previous complaints that had a majority of users annoyed with black screens during new driver installations.
However, the game -ready driver 576.52 suggests Reddit discussion second, as users highlight the same installation error, either forcing a reboot or dry drivers completely using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). It is not exactly clear what is causing the problem, but some users say deactivation of G-Sync is one of the solution.
It is important to install any of Team Green’s new GPU drivers as they often come with new games or GPU support, but to run into games or system-breaking bugs is a big gamble. Fortunately, it does not require too much effort to roll back to former drivers, but the same cannot be said for Blackwell GPU users who cannot return to stable and older drivers before launching.

Analysis: Are new driver updates even worth installing at this time?
Fortunately, my RTX 4080 Super does not require driver updates for functionality, as opposed to the new Blackwell GPUs. The problem is that I miss important support updates for games; However, is it worth avoiding annoying bugs? The simple answer is yes.
I still use Game Ready Driver 572.47 from February, which has been the most stable for me. It came after I ran into the infamous black screen problem as I installed a new GPU driver and tried to restart my system, and eventually I pushed myself to roll back to 572.47.
You can say that I am paranoid or overreacting but I do not think I am wrong in saying that caution is justified with the recent team green updates – and I know I will have to take the risk in the end, but I do not think I will do it until it is absolutely necessary …
