- Nvidias RTX 5060 Ten Refreshed again to have 16 GB and 8 GB versions
- It is now claimed that the 16GB version arrives first, later in March, and the 8 GB model in the first half of April
- There will be concerns about the 8 GB Loadout, but we must not forget the other VRAM specs that are relevant here
NVIDIAS RTX 5060 TI is apparently the next Blackwell graphics card to be sold – yes, after the upcoming RTX 5070 arriving early in March – and it will be produced in 16 GB and 8 GB of flavor.
WCCFECH brings words – Grab Salt Shaker and Use Liberally – from named sources that Nvidia allegedly intends to release the RTX 5060 TI 16GB version first, in the latter half of March. The 8 GB model will reportedly arrive the following month, although it should be in the first half of April.
Core spec -details are not found here, especially with the exception of a guess that these graphics cards will be built on the GB206 chip as previously rumored (Blackwell Silicon, which is a level below the GB205, engine for RTX 5070).
What we learn, however, is that Nvidia is said to stick to a 128-bit memory bus, which is the same as the RTX 4060 TI models.
If you think it’s disappointing that VRAM (VIDEO RAM) Capacity and bus specifications are unchanged, well don’t forget that the rumor mill thinks NVIDIA uses GDDR7 with its RTX 5060 models, the faster video memory present in it Existing Blackwell -Line -OP.
Because it is much faster – running with 28 Gbps, rather than 18 Gbps with RTX 4060 TI – the total bandwidth will be significantly oche with RTX 5060 Ti, over 50% faster in theory. Then don’t worry about a lack of performance OOMPH on the VRAM front in short.
Finally, we are told that the RTX 5060 TI will have a power consumption of 180W, which is a step up from its predecessor, but only with 20W or so. It will still be a GPU that can be run with a relatively modest PSU, in other words, and apparently the RTX 5060 Ti will also have boards using a traditional 8-pole power plug to create a relatively trouble-free upgrade. (This is despite some previous speculation indicating that Nvidia would mandate for the newer 12V-2×6 connector for all Blackwell GPUs, although it will be present at about 5060 TI-Card, we are told ).
Analysis: Even more Vram -Controvers, potentially
This is not the first time we have heard rumors of RTX 5060 Ti, mirroring RTX 4060 Ti with 16 GB and 8 GB variants. And like the former Gen Lovelace boards, it means that the XX60 TI graphics card may have more VRAM than the XX70 class model-16 GB against 12 GB-if you fork out to the more expensive RTX 5060 TI.
It brings us to the topic of price, where WCCFTECH tells us that nothing concrete has yet been heard on The Grapevine. The RTX 5060 TI will apparently have to start at an MSRP with significantly less than RTX 5070, which is $ 549 / £ 539, and WCCFTech’s guess of $ 400 to $ 500 (the latter for top-end 16 GB card) likes right.
However, I guess NVIDIA has not made the final decision yet, and is probably waiting to see how the RX 9070 models, or actually the RX 9060 – which was joined to have a broadcast at AMD’s GPU event later this week – Panel off their MSRPs.
Prices for the 8 GB variant of the RTX 5060 Ti could be a difficult case as there were plenty of complaints that the RTX 4060 ten was underpowered for video memory with the pool of VRAM. Now we are a whole generation on, so Nvidia, who sticks to the same load, will go down like a main balloon with a lot of PC players, I can guarantee that.
Of course, the overall increase in VRAM -speed launched by the introduction of GDDR7 (in theory) must be considered, as I have already observed -and so does Nvidia’s new tricks to get more out of video memory with the Blackwell generation . But I guess some players will be difficult to persuade away from the notion that simply on a raw capacity front, 8 GB just looks too thin after any real future -proofing here (even at 1080p games).
However, I go ahead of myself here – we have to see what Nvidia first reveals no guarantee in any way).
What is also interesting here is that there is no mention of the RTX 5060 and when it can arrive. If the 8 GB flavor of the RTX 5060 TI does not show up until maybe in mid-April, it could mean that Vanilla RTX 5060 might be pushed back to May, maybe? These other rumors of delays for Nvidia’s RTX 5060 models appear to be backed up by this recent piece of speculation in any case.
