- Nvidia brings its GeForce RTX 5080 to GeForce now, for its ‘ultimate’ level membership
- Prices remain the same with improved gaming performance
- Generation of multiple frames will also be available on GeForce now
Gamescom 2025 is finally here, with lots of new Triple-A games to look forward to, and Nvidia has been hard to work behind the scenes to further strengthen its local and cloud game offerings.
NVIDIA has announced that Blackwell RTX 5080 GPU, along with Multi Frame Generation (MFG), will be coming to GeForce Now’s (GFN) ‘Ultimate’ Tier membership set to launch in September. Team Green’s tool generation at driver level, smooth motion, will also be available to the RTX 4000 series GPU users starting in Beta in August.
While the RTX 5080 will improve the performance of the Cloud Gaming Service, the prices for GFN membership will not increase as some may have expected. It is worth noting that Sky-based RTX 5080 support will only be available for selected gaming and it seems to be more graphically demanding titles.
And not all Cloud Gaming fans can look forward to. The New Cinematic Quality Streaming (CQS) feature arrives in GFN, where NVIDIA claims this will deliver “Next-Gen image quality competing with local PC games”. Titles like Call of Duty Black Ops 7At Borderlands 4At Dying Light: The BeastAt and Hell is us will be available when launched.
As for smooth movement, the GeForce RTX 4000 series users have waited a long time for this feature and it is finally on the way.
This will essentially allow players to enable framework generation at the driver’s level for games that do not have built-in NVIDIA framework generation support. It works in the same way as AMD’s floating movement frames and is designed to improve performance with AI-generated frames.
It will originally be available during Gamescom 2025 via Beta on the NVIDIA app and will be rolled out to all users at the end of August.
There is no word about whether smooth movement is coming to older RTX generations yet, and it is worth noting that framework generation is currently limited to RTX 5000 and RTX 4000 Series GPUs.
Analysis: Cloud Gaming just gets better and better …

If I didn’t already have a game setup, GeForce would now be right up in my alley. This is because it is widely available on multiple devices, and now the second largest GPU is using the cloud gaming market.
I have not been a special fan of cloud games as it requires good internet connection, which is not always a warranty (depending on where you are located). But with additions like low latens streaming (LLS), delay and stutter must be much less of a problem.
Handheld PC players are going to take advantage of this significant -especially those who use them like Steam Deck or Lenovo Legion GO S (Z2 GO model) as they will be able to play games on the cloud at higher graphics settings.
I love to see updates like this from Team Green and it’s good to know that if I ever need to use GFN one day I will be able to enjoy the benefits of these new features.
