When Zayas advised New York schools to continue enabling Trans -Inclusion, an official in New York City talked about her support for Trump’s executive order.

Director of New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ Office of Sport, Wellness and Recreation Jasmine Ray declared her position in favor of following Trump’s order on her Instagram stories this weekend via Gothamist.

“To those who ask about my position, as director of NYC Sports & Rec, I stand with the recent executive order that strengthens the importance of justice in women’s sports,” she wrote.

Outlet, however, reported that Ray later took down her story and says she deleted it at the “Guide” by the Mayor’s Chief of Staff Camille Joseph Varlack.

“I take full responsibility for the mistake of the verdict,” Ray told Gothamist. “I am obliged to maintain the separation between my personal conviction and my professional responsibility.”

Pakinomist Digital has reached Adams’ office for comment.

Since Trump’s order came into force last Wednesday, several states and athletic relations in high school have made it clear that they will not enforce it, and will continue to protect trans athletes in girls’ sports.

How transgenderism in sports changed the election in 2024 and ignited a national counterculture

California is the most prominent.

California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) said it will continue to follow the state’s law that allows athletes to participate as the gender they identify as, a spokesman Pakinomist Digital told.

“CIF gives students the opportunity to belong, connect and compete in educational -based experiences in accordance with California’s legislation [Education Code section 221.5. (f)] Which allows students to participate in school programs and activities, including athletic teams and competitions that are in accordance with the student’s gender identity, regardless of gender listed on the student’s posts, “says a CIF declaration.

The decision has led to setbacks and even protests and threats of California litigation -the residents.

Minnesota and Massachusetts are among the other states that have indicated that they will continue to protect trans athletes in girls’ sports.

A recent New York Times/Ipsos Survey Found the vast majority of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, do not think transnry athletes should be allowed to compete in women’s sports. Of the 2,128 people who were examined, 79% biological men who identify themselves as women said should not be allowed to participate in women’s sports.

Of the 1,025 people who identified themselves as Democrats or inclined Democrat, 67%said transkon athletes should not be allowed to compete with women.

Prominent Democrats, including House Minority Leader Rep. HAKEEM JEFFRIES, DN.Y., REP. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y., rep. Bobby Scott, D-Vt., Rep. Suzanne Bonamic, D-Or., Rep. There was no language in the bill suggesting that gender surveys would be necessary.

The argument alienated some of the party’s loyal voters who have unregistered as Democrats in response.

“It just made me very sad because it screamed out of a lack of integrity, lack of honesty,” prominent lawyer professor and lifelong Democrat Gary Francione told Pakinomist Digital “This is the way you fight and disagree with and imply that they are Children’s Moves or Pedophiles?

Francione has a lifelong network of other Democrats in law and other industries, saying that many of them share his faith and will also be unregistering from the party.

“I can say confidential about the people I know who are Democrats that I have talked to, the vast majority of them are very unhappy with all these things and feels that the party has lost its way,” Francione said. “I know a couple who said they will [unregister]”

Other democratic legislators have also spoken to the party’s platform to enable Trans athletes to compete against girls and women. They include rep. Seth Moulton from Massachusetts, reps. Colin Allred, Vicente Gonzalez and Henry Cuellar, Texas, Rep. Mary Peltola, from Alaska, and Rep. Tom Suozzi, from New York.
