NEW Strands today (game #594) – the answers
The answers to today’s Strands, game #594, are…
- DETOUR
- CLOSURE
- ALARM
- WEATHER
- CONSTRUCTION
- SPAN FRAME: RUNNING LATE
- My assessment: Easy
- My score: 1 tip
After getting corner words DETOUR and CLOSURE, I struggled to understand what the theme was about – so I set about getting random non-game words (there were some good ones today) and using a hint.
The hint sent me ALARM and it was only then that I realized we were looking for reasons/excuses as to why we might be RUNNING out of work.
DETOUR covers a lot of this list and covers most of my late moments – the others being cats, rain and lactose intolerance.
Yesterday’s NYT Strand’s Answer (Friday, October 17, Game #593)
- CAPE
- CAVORT
- GALUMP
- SCUTTLE
- TRAIPS
- PRAISE
- SPANGRAM: SILLYWALKS
