Islamabad:
Islamabad High Court on Friday issued his written order for a petition filed by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for the release of Pakistan Tehreek-In-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan on the parole and said the objections raised by the registration office was still not a draw.
CM Gandapur had moved the application for the release of Imran, who had been convicted in the case of 190 million pounds, could be targeted by Indian drones while in Adiala prison. The petition was heard by IHC functioning Chief Justice Sardar Sarfaraz Dogar.
The registrar office raised the objections that the application was not filed by the penalty itself and asked how to seek such relief for another person. Secondly, the office said that the person who was sought after had not become a party to the case.
Imran was convicted in the reference moved by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The registrar office also said that NAB in the petition had also not been a party to the case in the application for parole release of a convicted person.
