There are plenty of excellent robotic lawnmowers on the way this year. I got a sneak peek at all the major brands’ new models at CES, and it looks like robotic lawnmowers are seriously on the rise this year (and I’ve also written separately about the 2026 robotic lawnmower trends that I think could take these automated yard assistants truly mainstream).
So which models caught my interest the most? Of all the lawnbots I saw at CES, these are the three I’m most excited to try…
1. Mammotion LUBA 3 AWD
This lawnbot’s predecessor blew my writer away when he tested it for our Mammotion LUBA 2 AWD review. The 2026 version is pretty much the same, but just a tad better all around – to me, it looks like that lawn will be mowing this year.
One of Mammotion’s USPs is its Tri-Fusion Navigation system, which combines three navigation technologies so that the lawnbot can choose the one that best suits each situation – and it will (in theory) never get lost. So there’s traditional satellite-based navigation (ideal in large, open areas), LiDAR (great for tight areas with obstacles) and camera-based Vision (perfect for precise object recognition).
All these technologies have received an upgrade on LUBA 3. The satellite positioning has been changed so that there is now no need for a separate RTK station, which removes a major pain point from setup. Mammotion now promises ±1 cm positioning precision and an ability to react almost instantly to the environment.

2. Segway Navimow i2 AWD
In the compact lawn corner of the market, my must-see is the Segway Navimow i2 AWD. It’s far from the flashiest of the 2026 fleet of robotic lawnmowers, but it has some neat tricks that help it really stand out from competing models.
All-wheel drive (AWD) is rare in compact lawnbots. Here, it’s not to scale particularly treacherous terrain, but to enable the bot to treat your garden with the care it deserves.
A Segway Navimow representative explained to me that on non-AWD lawnbots, the wheel tread can drag on the grass when the bot has to turn. Having each wheel driven independently negates this problem. It can make the hairpin turn at the top of each neat strip of lawn without grinding your turf.
On top of this, the Segway Navimow has added an ‘Adaptive drive’ feature to maximize battery life. Essentially, the front steering wheel will only be motorized when specifically required – the brand says this can increase ride times by up to 30%.

3. Roborock RockMow X1 LiDAR
My third choice is a bit of a curveball. Roborock is known for making some of the best robot vacuums out there – it unveiled its first lawn bots at IFA in September 2025.
I haven’t had a chance to test any of the debut series out yet (it’s not mowing season in the UK), but I’m curious to see if this brand can work its robovac magic in the lawnbot arena. Top of my to-test list is the Roborock RockMow X1 LiDAR, which is a brand new 2026 addition to the range.
LiDAR in lawn bots will be one of the big trends in 2026, but it is typically used as a supplement to satellite-based navigation technology. It’s very rare for a robotic lawnmower to not use satellites at all, but that seems to be the case with this new Roborock model.
RockMow X1 LiDAR uses LiDAR and VSLAM for wayfinding. Those are two major robot vacuum navigation technologies, so Roborock has plenty of expertise in its back pocket to draw on. LiDAR builds a 3D map of a space by bouncing light off obstacles, so it doesn’t work in wide-open, unenclosed lawns. But in yards that have many obstacles and features, it could be ideal.
