Officers challenge the refusal of campaigns

Islamabad:

Islamabad High Court (IHC) expressed dissatisfaction with the federal government’s response on Tuesday and convened the official registration of changes made in the rules of chairman of the high -ridden selection council (HPSB) meetings.

Justice Inaam Amin Minhas heard the case filed by senior officials who challenged their exclusion from consideration to promotion from Class 21 to Class 22. The federal government’s response was unsatisfactory, the court questioned the reasons behind the exclusion of the claims from promotion. “The government’s response fails to explain why the petries were denied promotion,” the judge noted.

The court ordered the federal government to present the official registration of the changes made in the rules of the establishment department before the next consultation.

Represents the petries, lawyer Umair Ijaz Gilani, Shoaib Shaheen and Faisal Naqvi claimed that changes were made at the last minute to the rules to give the Deputy Prime Minister to announce the HPSB meeting instead of the Prime Minister.

The lawyers also claimed that although the Prime Minister has the discretion of nominating someone to president over the board, the rules mentioned to support the change were neither notified in the official gazette, and they were not known to any official so far.

The petries claimed that deputy PM Ishaq Dar and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s participation in the HPSB meeting were illegal, claiming that only the prime minister can legally be president’s such meetings.

The court asked the government adviser why the explanation offered was very dependent on technical conditions and ordered that the full registration of any changes or changes in the relevant rules were submitted before the next consultation.
