Officials have released the cause of previous death English Premier League Player George Baldock, who was found dead in a swimming pool in his home in Greece in October.
Milton Keynes Coroners Court revealed during an inquiry on Wednesday that the 31-year-old soccer The player was dead as a result of drowning. A study after Mortem found no traces of drugs or alcohol in his system at the time of his death.

According to the admission of inquiry reviewed by Pakinomist Digital, officials discovered that Baldock “had a very big heart that would have meant that he was receptive to cardiac arrhythmias.”

The Mayo Clinic Describes cardiac arrhythmias as an irregular heartbeat, either too fast or too slow. While cardiac arrhythmias may be harmless to some, in other cases, they can cause “life -threatening symptoms.”
Baldock’s death was ruled an accident.
Bladock, who had played for the Greek national team, was discovered in the swimming pool by his residence in Attica, Greece, October 9. First respondents tried to revive him but were not successful.

Bladock was born in England and played for Sheffield United for seven seasons – three in the Premier League. He signed with Panathinaikos Football Club, a member of the Super League Greece, in 2024, which performed for the club just three days before his death.
He performed in 12 games with Greece’s national team and at the end of a game in March in a match against Georgia in Euro 2024 playing games.

“There are no words to describe the human pain caused by the news of the early loss of one of our young people,” the Greek Football Federation said in a statement at the time. “This moment requires silence. Compassion to his family. Compassion from his second family. Goodbye.”
