Lahore:
A 76-year-old man was brutally murdered inside his home in the Kahna area on Friday after they unidentified attacks stormed the home and split his throat with a sharp edge weapon before flinging from the stage.
According to Edhi sources, the incident took place in the village of Kankar, where the victim, identified as Mukhtiar, was attacked and killed in cold blood.
Rescue officials transported the body to the Likhuset for investigation after Mortem, while police launched an investigation into the murder.
Forensic experts were called to the stage to collect evidence and a search operation has begun to trace the culprits.
Police said the motive behind the killing and attackers identity remains unknown at this time. “We are investigating all sorts of angles and reviewing CCTV recordings from nearby areas. The investigation is ongoing,” a police spokesman said.
