Olympic Gold Medal Sha’Carri Richardson arrested for alleged assault

The Olympic Gold Medal Sha’Carri Richardson was arrested last weekend for allegedly assaults by his girlfriend.

The couple was at Seattle Tacoma Airport on Sunday when an airport officer was notified by a Transport Safety Administration (TSA) supervisor for a disruption between Richardson and her boyfriend, Sprinter Christian Coleman, according to the police report via Associated Press.

It is alleged that Richardson has grabbed Coleman’s backpack and pulled it and pushed Coleman into a wall and apparently was caught on surveillance.

The report later said that Richardson seemed to throw a product on Coleman, which TSA indicated may have been headphones.

In the police report, the officer said, “I was told that Coleman did not want to participate further in the investigation and refused to be a victim.”

Richardson won 100 at the World Cup in 2023 in Budapest and ended with the silver in the event at Paris Games last summer. She also helped take the 4×100 relay to an Olympic gold.
