- OnePlus revealed OnePlus Buds 4 exclusively to Techradar
- Landing 8 July along with the Nord 5 series phones, Pad Lite and see 3 43mm
- LHDC 5.0 Support indicated and given price of the older buds 3, I am stooked
OnePlus is a formidable name in portable technique, though not necessarily One celebrated for his crystal clear name strategies.
It is hardly alone in that regard, considering Apple’s decision to jump directly to iOS 26 (from iOS 18) and Samsung apparently set to bypass the knobs 2 FE to go directly to the buds 3 FE, yet 2025 looks nothing different for the Chinese tech giant.
Today (Monday, June 16), the company has revealed exclusively for Techradar its five latest products: OnePlus Nord 5 series (consisting of two smartphones: OnePlus Nord 5 and OnePlus CE5), OnePlus Buds 4, OnePlus Pad Lite and a new, smaller OnePlus Watch 3 – it has a 43 mm dial.
Important things to notice on the buds 4? First, there is no ‘north’ prefix that typically denotes OnePlus’ middle-class proposal. So while the incoming phones may be within the more affordable handset of the brand, it is the flagship area where its earplugs relate.
OnePlus Buds 4: Specs and all we know so far
You will be forgiven for having experienced a modicum of confusion when you stare at OnePlus’ current earplugs – so let me.
A quick look at the OnePlus site reveals a trio consisting of the latest OnePlus Bud Pro 3 (launched in August 2024), OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro (which arrived in July 2024, and despite our best efforts, we never managed to get a set for review) and January 2024-ISEPUSUNDS 3.
If you really want to become granular on their respective spec -sheets or You are considering striking an appointment on the outgoing model when the BUD 4 shelves (Clever), our OnePlus Bud Pro 3 VS OnePlus Nord Buds 3 Pro explorer can help.
But this changes everything! OnePlus Buds 4 – so simple. So stylish. I don’t have too much information about the design or colorway settings, but the case repeats the design language of the BDS 3 Pro, rather than the buds 3, which is a good thing as I found it much more secure.
OnePlus tells me the buds 4 have double drivers and Dual DACS (Read: The Kind of Audio Architecture That Ought To Promote Much-Better-Than-Average Audio Quality), LHDC 5.0 (A Higher-Resolution Audio Codec Similar to LDAC in That It Supports Up to 24-Bit/192khz Resolution) and OnePlus’ 3D Audio Software, Which we Really Liked In the OnePlus Buds 3 because it’ll Even Level Up Spotify’s Lossy Files, Making Them More Demplies.
For players, OnePlus Buds 4 also offers 47m’s ultra-low latency in game mode, and although I’m not an avid player, Bud Pro 3 Perk included and we liked it a lot, so it’s good to see it included in non-pro-buds.

Is there anything missing here? There is no mention of noise cancellation yet, which, if it plays, may be a deal-breaker for some buyers. Again, this is an early exclusive (we also have no specific information about pricing), so there are plenty of details that are still coming, but it is worth mentioning.
So far, OnePlus has not yet really made a buck in our Roundup of the best earplugs – but maybe it’s set to change. We give them a full -fat review, so see this space …
