John Robert Hoffman, the creator of Only murder in the buildingHas shared that season five’s trio was inspired by “well -known billionaires.”
In a talk with Entertainment weeklyThe American actor, screenwriter, producer and director revealed that the fifth season’s trio, consisting of Renee Zellweger, Logan Lerman and Christopher Waltz, is inspired by real billionaires, but he is now more conscious of not naming any of them.
Hoffman said ridiculously, “Unfortunately, many of these billionaires are litigic, so I’m also nervous about hitting too close to home.”
“But there are some well -known people who are interested in long life [of human life]. There are some well-known people who are interested in design and boutique hotels in Manhattan, and flavors who have risen over the fold. And then the others are the kind of extended family with many years of money – there are many examples of all this. And then there are technology -trollmen and AI progress and similar things. We go into this territory with this season, ”he explained.
The Fortune Hunter Star noted that when he came up with the idea of three wealthy characters, he liked to take inspiration “here and there” from real cases of well -functioning people.
“It felt both something accurate and pointed and then something inventive. We are a comedy, so we hit it with a little bit of a soft, ridiculous touch at times,” Hoffman said.
