Openai is consolidated its US government’s AI tools, such as Chatgpt GoV, under a single umbrella – Openai for the government.
Openai, together with anthropic and meta together, has collaborated with the US government to develop new AI tools that specialize in government workload.
The new initiative will give federal, state and local authorities access to Openai’s most secure and compatible models, models specialized for national security, insight into upcoming models and tools and support.
More AI models for government
Openai has signed a $ 200 million with US Defense Defense Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO) that kicks in the new project (CDAO).
The project will focus on improving administrative work, such as the service member’s health access, to increase cyber defense and data collection.
“Across these efforts, we aim to improve both the daily experience of public service and help government employees feel more empowered, more effective and more supported in their critical missions,” Openai said.
“We are already seeing how Openai can help public employees at the state level to spend less time on repeated tasks and more time at work with great influence,” the message continued, with open AI reference to the effectiveness of chatgpt-use to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, who saved employees about 105 minutes a day.
Openai also implements AI models in Los Alamos, Lawrence Livermore and Sandia National Labs to improve scientific research, innovation and national security.
“We are just getting started, and we look forward to helping us government leaders exploit AI to better earn the public. We are obliged to work in close partnership with agencies, promote their missions with powerful tools that are safe and secure,” the company added.
