- 3,000 lumens and 95% DCI-P3 color coverage
- HDR10+ and image enhancement
Optoma has launched a new 4K DLP projector that promises “stunning images and unrivaled color accuracy”.
The new UHZ58LV projector is a 4K UHD dual laser model that delivers 3,000 lumens of maximum brightness with HDR10+ and the company’s PureEngine Ultra image enhancement.
The projector delivers 95% DCI-P3 color coverage and includes both Movie Maker and ISF Day/Night modes to suit your personal preferences.
A major advantage of a dual-laser light source is that it delivers a long life: quoted 30,000 hours in this case.
Optoma UHZ58LV: key features and prices
The PureEngine system is designed to increase color output, contrast and image detail for what Optoma says is true-to-life color reproduction with excellent precision. It is complemented with PureMotion treatment to eliminate vibrations.
The specifications are impressive, even among the best projectors: screen sizes of 20 to 320 inches, contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 and good connectivity options.
There are three HDMI inputs, including one with eARC and one with HDMI 2.1; RJ45, RS232 and 12V trigger controls; and USB power, 3D sync, 3.5mm audio and S/PDIF outputs. The projector also has Dolby Atmos passthrough and is certified for WiSA SoundSend to output to WiSA wireless speakers, which could certainly help with the installation.
Players are well catered for with automatic low latency mode and 240Hz at 1080p resolution with 8.5ms input lag.
The Optoma UHZ58LV will be available from this month, October 2025, and we’ve seen prices of $2,299 in the US and £1,999 in the UK. That’s about AU$3,531.
