ISLAMABAD:
The Federal Ministry of the Interior has canceled the legalization of 34 officers from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
These officers – formerly serving in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) – were regularized in 2012 by a committee headed by PPP’s Syed Khursheed Shah.
According to a notification from the ministry, these officials will now be treated as contract employees. The Ministry has also sent a copy of the notification to the Auditor General of Pakistan. Some FIA officials had filed a petition against these officers.
