More than 100 Lahore police officers have been dismissed from their attitudes for sustained absence and rejection of performing their duties.
This unprecedented act for the first time in the city’s history marks that such a large number of officers have been rejected simultaneously.
Sources confirmed that the officers who were part of the Antiriot force were dismissed on orders from the Dig operations because of their lack of report to service. The names of the dismissed officers, including ATIQ, ZEIN, ALI, SHIRAZ, SHAN, ZUBAIR and Adeel, have been registered in the official report.
The officers proved to be absent from duty on several occasions where several others refused to perform their assigned tasks. Some officers even made excuses to avoid getting to work.
The authorities emphasized that such neglect of duty and lack of liability would not be tolerated within the strength and claim that there is no place for officers who do not fulfill their professional obligations.
