Cambridge has announced the winners of the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards, with 83 Pakistani students winning ‘Top in the World’ awards – including 26 from Sindh and Balochistan – in recognition of their outstanding academic achievements in the June 2025 exam series.

During a ceremony held in Karachi on Wednesday, Cambridge Examinations Board released details of students who showed outstanding performance in Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level exams.

Nationally, 317 Pakistani students received 355 awards, including 83 Top in the World, 63 Top in Country and 11 High Achievement Awards, recognizing excellence in a wide range of subjects.

More than 106 students from Sindh and Balochistan will receive 120 awards for outstanding performance in Cambridge IGCSE, O Level and International AS & A Level examinations. Among them, 26 students achieved the highest marks in the world while 53 secured the top marks in Sindh and Balochistan in individual subjects.

The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are part of a global program that celebrates learners from over 40 countries. Cambridge said its qualifications are designed to prepare students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel at university and beyond, and are recognized by leading universities worldwide.

Country Director of International Education at Cambridge Pakistan, Uzma Yousuf, said: “Each year we are inspired by the dedication, resilience and talent of our students across Pakistan. These outstanding results reflect not only their hard work but also the unwavering support of their teachers, schools and families.

She further said that as the world continues to evolve – driven by innovation, technology and new ways of learning – these students stand as proof that a strong educational foundation builds the confidence and adaptability needed for the future. “We are immensely proud of their achievements and of the role our schools play in nurturing globally minded, future-ready students,” she added.

The awards also honored students who won High Achievement Awards in less mainstream subjects and those with the highest cumulative marks across multiple subjects. Cambridge noted that these students outperformed thousands of candidates around the world who sat the same exams.
