PAC forms Underpanel on USC degradation

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) discovered several irregularities and inconsistencies while reviewing the audit parases in the Ministry of Industry and issuing Directive for the necessary action and forming a subcommittee for the degradation of the supply shops.

PAC met here with his chairman Junaid Akbar in the chair. It was revealed during the meeting that the CEO of Engineering Development Bord (EDB) was expanded to his tenure without the approval of the Prime Minister. The committee postponed the matter until the next meeting.

It was revealed that the intervention of the country of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) continued. PAC was informed that 54 hectares of land by PSM were awarded to three universities that were canceled later and the country was given to four people.

PAC expressed its dissatisfaction with the delay in the announcement of the central Superior Services (CSS) results from the Federal Public Service Commission (FBSC). The committee was informed that the results would be announced next month. It directed to clear the appointment of the FPSC members.

While reviewing audit parases related to PSM, the Committee was considering the issue of irregular payments of more than RS1 billion because housing status for the electricity meters of PSM had not yet been awarded.

It was revealed that 54 acres of land by PSM were given to three universities, then canceled and given to four people.
