New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers rivaling have reached a new level with a fan accused of allegedly stabbing two Knicks fans earlier this month.

Jarett Funke, a 24-year-old from Carmel, Indiana, is indicted for three crimes for his alleged acts at a local brewery during match 2 in the Eastern Conference Final: Battery using a deadly weapon, battery resulting in serious bodily damage, and criminal recklessness committed with a deadly weapon, according to online registrations.

According to Fox 59, Funke allegedly came in a change that received a call of 911, but he had left the establishment. An employee of the brewery called the police again and said that Funke had returned – the one who rings, then said Funke Knife Stack someone in the back.

Police found two people with stabbing wounds when they arrived on stage – one that had been stabbed in the back and another in the leg.

One of the victims told police that he “briefly had shown a black folding knife to deter (funke), but repeated it when he had no intention of using it.” Funk reportedly knocked a Knicks hat of one of the victims and began to curse against him.

Funke reportedly said he “picked up his pocket knife from his hoodie and swung it around against (one of the Knicks fans) back with his right hand” after one of the Knicks fans pushed him to the ground and “began to hit him in the face.”

Funke claimed the Knicks fans started Ruckus, but court documents say that several witnesses labeled Funke as the “primary aggressor.”

Pacers won the game to lead 2-0 in the series, but New York stormed back from a 20-point deficit for the third time this playoffs to win their first match in the series on Sunday night.

This is the ninth meeting between Knicks and Pacers in the playoffs, with four coming through the 1990s. They also met in last year’s Eastern Conference semi -final.
