Pakistan will respond with the “full spectrum of power” if India attacks it or disturbs vital water currents, the country’s ambassador to Russia, Muhammad Khalid Jamali, has said.
In a speech with RT, Russia’s State TV said on Saturday that the ambassador said Pakistani intelligence that India is planning military aggression against Pakistan.
“There are some other leaked documents by which it is decided to beat certain areas of Pakistan,” Jamali said. “So it makes us feel like this will happen and it’s imminent.”
The ambassador warned that Pakistan is prepared to respond to any aggression: “We in Pakistan will use the full power spectrum, both conventional and nuclear.”
He also reiterated Islamabad’s attitude to the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), a key agreement between India and Pakistan, which New Delhi suspended in the wake of the attack.
“Any attempt to use the water from the lower riparian or to stop it or to divert it would be an act of war against Pakistan and would be responded with full power including full spectrum of power,” emerging.
However, Jamali called for de-shell and noticed the potential danger as both countries possess nuclear weapons. “Since both countries are nuclear powers, there is the more need to break down the tension.”
India wasted no time accusing Pakistan of a militant attack that took place in the afternoon of April 22 in Baisaran Valley, a popular tourist destination around 6 km from the city of Pahagam. The resistance front, a slightly well -known militant group, allegedly assumed responsibility.
New Delhi formerly reduced staff at the Pakistani High Commission, showed Pakistani diplomats and closed his land boundary – and Islamabad responded with mutual measures.
The Indian government also suspended visa services for Pakistani citizens. On Saturday, New Delhi announced a set of additional measures aimed at downgrading already defined trading tapes with Pakistan.
Pakistan previously called for “neutral and credible studies” in the Kashmir attack.
“I think the role of the international community comes in. And in this regard, we expect powers like China and Russia to participate in these studies,” the ambassador added.
