Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has claimed that the country was able to “start” despite the scream of opposition as she threw Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) “for her chaos policy and destroyed the country’s economy”.

“People in Pakistan are tired of violence and chaos … They are witnessing improvement in their lives,” said the provincial CEO, while approaching the check distribution ceremony for CM Punjab Asaan Karobaar program.

She further criticized the previous government for taking the country’s inflation to 38%and said the foreign investments flew away when they were in power.

Noting that her government constructed 700 roads in Punjab, Maryam said someone claimed the nation could not flourish by building roads in a apparent reference to Pakistan Tehreek-In-Insaf (PTI) founder IMRAN Khan.

“If the building of roads does not bring development, can siege and burn it?” she asked, adding that the youth in Pakistan now understands who destroyed their future.

“It’s very easy to accuse someone and throw insults,” she said, adding that time changed quickly and this person was locked in Adiala prison – a reference to the PTI founder.

CM Maryam noted that the country cannot afford chaos and turmoil and said that if the country is not progressing now, many young people will give up hope.

“The opposition is unable to digest Punjab’s progress … Their policy has reached the point of beating each other,” she said, referring to the recent mix between Fawad Chaudhry and lawyer Shoaib Shaheen.

With reference to the Asaan Karobaar program, the minister said the government provided interest-free loans ranging from RS1 million to RS30 million to establish their business.

“Loans are provided on 100% profits … no favorite works.”

Creating employment is not an easy task, she said, noting that Pakistan’s economy has improved in the last year with people’s living standards improvement day by day.

“When we got to power, inflation ticked at 38%, which is now reduced to 4%,” she added.

She emphasized the need to provide loans to companies to the country’s development and said that the Punjab government has received 185,000 applications so far. “As the company grows, employment will subsequently increase,” she added.
