- Jaffar Express attack planned from abroad, says FO.
- Terrorists attached to Afghanistan via captured calls.
- Pakistan prioritizes ties with Afghanistan despite concerns.
Islamabad: One day after the successful rescue operation, the Foreign Office said on Thursday that India was behind the deadly terrorist attack on Jaffar Express, adding that it was orchestrated by the management of a terrorist organization based abroad.
Fo -speaker Shafqat Ali Khan, who approached his weekly orientation in Islamabad, said the rescue operation for the Jaffar Express attack has ended and intelligence suggests the terrorists were in contact with their employees in Afghanistan.
The statement comes after security forces removed all 33 Balochistan Liberation Army (among others) terrorists who had hijacked Jaffar Express, who had more than 400 passengers – which were taken hostage.
The military has said that all hostages have been released, but 21 passengers were martyrated by the terrorists before the approval operation had begun. Four FC staff were also martyrated during the attack in the MUSHQAF area of the Bolan district.
The Foreign Office spokesman added that captured calls confirmed connections between attackers and Afghanistan. “The terrorists have safe ports in Afghanistan, and Pakistan has repeatedly called on the Afghan temporary government to prevent groups such as using their land for terrorism,” he said.
He also mentioned that Pakistan does not discuss diplomatic contacts on public forums, but has consistently shared detailed evidence of such events with Afghanistan.
He emphasized that Pakistan’s primary focus remains on strengthening friendly and close ties with Afghanistan, while counter -terrorism remains a central collaboration with international partners.
After the operation, Director-General Director-General Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Jaffer Express event changed the rules of the game.
“Whoever did this will be chased down and brought to court,” he added. He added that the terrorists had nothing to do with Islam, Pakistan and Balochistan.
In a statement, ISPR said intelligence reports have unequivocally confirmed that the attack was orchestrated and instructed by terrorist leaders operating from Afghanistan, who were in direct communication with the terrorists throughout the incident.
