Pakistan Army strikes back after night by Afghan -Fire across multiple fronts

Unprovoked firing of Afghan forces along the border between Pakistan-Afghanistan gained a strong reaction from the Pakistani army that continued throughout the night, resulting in killing several Afghan soldiers and Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists.

According to security sources, Afghan forces opened on Saturday night unprovoked fire in several places along the border – including Angoor Adda, Bajaur, Kurram, DIR and chitral areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Zhob District in Balochistan Province.

The firing, they added, were aimed at facilitating the cross-border movement of formations of “Khawarij” -TTP operatives. The “alarm and vigilant” positions of the Pakistani Army responded quickly and vigorously, and the exchange of fire continued at the time of lodging this report.

Several Afghan border posts were destroyed and dozens of Afghan soldiers and militants were killed. The Taliban forces abandoned several positions and fled, leaving bodies spread, according to security sources.

The Afghan Taliban Ministry of Defense, late at night, released a statement that said, “We will now stop our ‘retaliatory actions’ against Pakistan and expect Pakistan to not fight back.” However, clashes continued across the border.

Afghan positions reportedly failed to give cover and persistent large losses. Pakistan’s security forces employed artillery, tanks and both light and heavy weapons. In addition, air assets and drones were used to target terrorist positions and Afghan strength’s headquarters accused of protecting Daesh and Khawarij elements.

Peeling continued with the Pakistani army targeting positions that helped terrorist organizations. Pakistani security forces also performed strikes on Afghan terrorists in Chaghi and destroyed several control points and militant positions.

According to security forces, great caution was taken to ensure that only the Afghan items that helped militants were targeted.

Video recordings of the Afghan Jandusar post that were destroyed were released. Other recordings showed several Afghan positions destroyed overnight where Afghan soldiers left their positions, leaving bodies and equipment.

Pakistani security forces also targeted Afghan positions against the Kurram border and demolished several, some of which were seen shrouded in flames. Turkmanzai Top and Kharchur Fort – described by Pakistan’s military as militant hubs – was also effectively destroyed.

Pakistan’s security forces confirmed that Afghan positions in Liuband (Qila Abdullah sector), opposite Kunar and Bajaur, and another opposite Angoor Adda, South Waziristan, were destroyed.

Desertions among Afghan soldiers continued with videos that emerged for abandoned positions where uniforms and weapons had been left behind.

According to security sources, Pakistan successfully hit Taliban’s Manujba camp battalion’s headquarters and Darani camp. Reports indicated that dozens of the Taliban warriors and foreign militants were killed in both places.

Durani Camp-2 and Manujba Camp-2-renowned militant launch pads also successfully targeted. A tank position located at a highlight on the Afghan side of the Kurram border was hit, with several Afghan Taliban tanks destroyed by the strikes.

At least 19 Afghan positions allegedly facilitated terrorist groups were successfully targeted, says security sources.

Total accident figures remain unclear, but after the night’s hostilities, Torkham boundary transition was closed by Pakistani authorities. According to the Khorasan diary, the intersection was closed in response to Afghan aggression.

Tensions escalate

“In retaliation for air strikes from Pakistani forces,” borders Taliban border in the east “engaged in heavy clashes against Pakistani forces in various border areas,” the Afghan military said in a statement.

Diplomatic ties worsen

The clashes come as Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi visits India and marks New Delhi’s first high -level commitment with the Taliban.

Muttaqi, who spoke at a press conference in New Delhi on Friday, commented on a recent explosion in Kabul and condemned the incident while accused Pakistan. “No matter what problems are in each country, they have to be solved by themselves,” he said.

Muttaqi also claimed that there was no terrorist group left in Afghanistan. “If other countries achieve peace themselves, as we did in Afghanistan, there will be peace in the entire region. Since the last eight months there has not even been a small incident in Afghanistan. In four years no one has been injured on Afghanistan’s land. So this is the best proof we have presented,” he said.

In response, Pakistan’s foreign office issued a statement that Pakistan’s “strong reservations” on elements of the Indian-Afghanistan’s statement had been transferred to Afghanistan’s ambassador to Islamabad by the extra foreign secretary (West Asia & Afghanistan).

“Pakistan also strongly rejected the Afghan acting Foreign Minister’s claim that terrorism is Pakistan’s internal problem,” the statement says.

It added that Pakistan had repeatedly shared detailed evidence of the presence of Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan elements operating from Afghan Earth against Pakistan, allegedly with the support of elements of Afghanistan.
