Islamabad:
Pakistan and Azerbaijan have signed a memorandum for cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in the legal and legal sector. The agreement was formalized during an official visit to Baku by Attorney General Azam Nazeer Tarar, according to an official release.
Mou, signed between the Ministry of Law and Justice in Pakistan and the Ministry of Justice in Azerbaijan, establishes a framework for cooperation in areas such as legal reform, institutional exchange and the rule of law.
During the visit, Tarar met with Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov. Both sides emphasized the growing role of legal diplomacy to promote mutual interests and improve bilateral connections. He also had detailed discussions with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Justice, Hans Excellence Farid Ahmadov, focusing on legal modernization and exchange of institutional expertise.
In a separate meeting with Azerbaijan’s Supreme Court of Supreme Court in Karimov, the two parties discussed court reform, digitization of court systems and improved dispute resolution mechanisms.
The signed Mou outlines collaboration on promoting alternative dispute resolution, digital transformation of legal services and sharing legal knowledge and best practice. Both Pakistan and Azerbaijan confirmed their obligation to elaborate on institutional ties and work together to support ongoing reforms of the justice sector.
