Pakistan, Azerbaijan to increase trade and investment ties

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have promised to elaborate bilateral ties by expanding cooperation in energy, investment and tourism, officials said Sunday.

Understanding was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister of Privatization and Communication, Abdul Aleem Khan and Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister, Ali Asadov, in Baku.

Khan highlighted Pakistan’s investment potential, especially in the privatization of state -owned companies. He invited Azerbaijan to invest in Pakistan’s highway infrastructure and other key sectors, ensuring full relief for Azeri investors.

Both sides also discussed strengthening their strategic partnership focusing on financial cooperation, trade and mutual interests.

Asadov confirmed the strong ties between the two nations welcome to the Pakistani delegation.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan have maintained close diplomatic and economic relations, with both countries seeking to improve cooperation across multiple sectors.
