Pakistan and Bahrain confirmed their commitment to improve security cooperation during a high-level meeting in Manama on Saturday between Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Bahraini colleague, General Sheikh Rashid Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, according to Radio Pakistan.
The two held detailed discussions about improving collaboration in terrorism, anti-narcotics and combating human trafficking. Both ministers agreed on the need to make Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee more efficient and results-oriented.
General Al Khalifa appreciated the ongoing cooperation between the two nations and noted that Bahrain greatly appreciates his security partnership with Pakistan.
Naqvi emphasized it urgently to expand joint efforts in maturation and anti-human trade in trading that it is important to emphasize that increased cooperation in these areas is important for tackling common challenges.
The meeting attended senior Bahraini officials, including the Deputy Interior Minister and Head of Public Security, Pakistan’s ambassador to Bahrain Saqib Rauf and other diplomatic staff.
Previously, Naqvi received a warm welcome upon arrival at Bahrain International Airport and later received an honorary guard at the Headquarters The Ministry of the Interior, Manama Fort.
