Fight between Iran and Israel entered their seventh consecutive day on Thursday with fresh missile attacks reported over southern and central Israel, including a direct hit at a hospital in Beersheba.
Israeli officials said Iran launched “dozens” of missiles, some of which hit areas near Tel Aviv as well as Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. The hospital was severely damaged with parts shrouded in flames.
Shlomi Codish, the hospital director, reported that 40 people had been injured in the strike. “Several departments were completely torn and there is extensive damage to the whole hospital,” he said.
In response, Iranian officials claimed that the target of the missile savings was a nearby military and intelligence facility, not the hospital.
