ISLAMABAD:
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister said on Monday that Pakistan remains firmly committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism.
Dar made the remarks while greeting the nation in a message on Pakistan Day.
Pakistan’s actions in Afghanistan against the menace of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij/TTP are aimed at this goal, he said.
“Our brave sons of the soil sacrifice their lives in its pursuit. We salute our martyrs and heroes who have made a supreme sacrifice for the betterment of our collective future,” he added.
Pakistan and Afghanistan engaged in a confrontation after Islamabad paid airstrikes against terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan. Afghanistan later launched a coordinated attack on Pakistani positions, sparking an active confrontation between the two neighboring countries.
On this day, the DPM/FM said they could not forget their Kashmiri brothers and sisters and the extraordinary sacrifices they made in their quest for the inalienable right to self-determination.
He said that Pakistan remained steadfast in its commitment to provide moral and diplomatic support until the oppressed individuals of the IIOJK achieve their right to self-determination.
He also sent warm greetings to other Pakistanis living abroad, praising their patriotism, commitment and hard work.
“Every day they proudly represent Pakistan internationally and play a vital role in shaping the country’s future success,” he added.
