Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif confirmed Pakistan’s obligation to strengthen his relationship with the United States during a meeting with us ChargĂ© d’Acaires Natalie Baker in Islamabad on Tuesday.
PM emphasized the importance of continued close cooperation between Pakistan and the United States, especially in counter-terrorism, to tackle new threats that groups such as Daesh and Fitna Al-Khawarij make up.
“Pakistan and the United States should continue to work closely, especially within the terrorist domain,” he said, emphasizing the need for sustained cooperation to combat common security challenges.
In addition to security concerns, Prime Minister Shehbaz highlighted the importance of expanding trade and cooperation in areas including IT, agriculture, health, education and energy.
He expressed a strong desire to improve bilateral ties and emphasized that these areas of mutual interest provide significant opportunities for further cooperation.
In his remarks, Natalie Baker thanked PM Shehbaz for the warm reception and conveyed the US administration’s intention to work with Pakistan against Common Goals.
“The new administration is obliged to cooperate with Pakistan to strengthen our bilateral conditions and pursue common goals,” Baker said.
