Brussels:
Pakistan’s parliamentary delegation led by Senator Sherry Rehman and Engineer Khurram Dastagir, together with Ambassador Tehmina Janjua, met Lucie Sestakova (head of the cabinet) and Asia expert Nividad Lorenzo in the EU Commission (Berlaymont).
During the meeting, the delegation warned against serious humanitarian and legal consequences of placing the Indus Waters Treaty in Abeyance and emphasized the need to maintain treaty obligations and international norms, Pakistan wrote in Belgium on its X -Wall.
The delegation confirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, regional stability and multilateralism in the midst of the recent escalating trends. They also greeted the EU development collaboration during MIP & Global Gateway and confirmed adaptation to common priorities.
