Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has made it clear to the international community that Pakistan will not take the first step in any situation but will respond with full strength if aggression is performed by India.

Dar said in regional dialogue 2025 organized by the Institute of Regional Studies in Islamabad that the world is undergoing a difficult phase, especially the region facing serious challenges. He emphasized that peace and prosperity should be the common goal for everyone.

He said that Pakistan has always subdued peace in the region and consistently raised his voice against aggression.

With reference to the recent event in Pahaldam, he described it as a false flag surgery aimed at diverting attention from the ongoing freedom movements of India.

He added that several Indian states are witnessing serious human rights violations and that India’s actions are jeopardizing millions of millions in the region.

DAR also mentioned that in recent days he has had discussions with leaders in different countries about the regional situation. Briefings have been delivered at the foreign office to ambassadors for various nations and representatives of the United Nations.

Ishaq Dar stated that, after the recent restrictions of India, Pakistan’s National Security Committee made important decisions implemented.

He said that India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty is a serious violation of international law, adding that India does not have the unilateral authority to suspend or terminate the treaty.

Dar accused India of pushing the region of war and said Pakistan was reacting kindly to the actions of India while remaining engaged in regional peace.

The Foreign Minister also called the Pahagam incident a false flag surgery orchestrated by India. He said global leaders had called on Pakistan to exercise restraint. While confirming Pakistan’s regular policy of condemning all forms of terrorism, DAR questioned how a case related to the Pahagam attack was registered within just ten minutes after the incident.

He said the National Security Committee had decided to give a strong answer to any aggression. While the regional situation is developing, Pakistan will not take the first step under any circumstances.

But if aggression is imposed, Pakistan will respond with full national decision and strength.

Dar added that Pakistan had quickly averted the Indian Air Force’s attempt at adventurousism and confirmed that the country would never allow its territory to be used against any other nation. He urged the international community to immediately notice the deteriorating regional situation.

Deputy Prime Minister also noted that the United Nations has adopted clear decisions about the right to self -determination in occupied territories. He said there have been serious violations of these UN Security Council’s decisions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

The Kashmir question, he emphasized, cannot be sidelined and must be resolved in accordance with the UN decisions and the ambitions of the Kashmiri people.
