Pakistan jumped out in India to have backtracking from his obligations under the UN Security Council’s decisions that guaranteed the right to self-determination to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, arguing that its settlement-colonial project on the disputed territory was also violated international law.
“Jammu and Kashmir are not and have never been, an integral part of India,” Pakistani delegate Asif Khan told the UN General Assembly’s special political and decolonization committee on Monday.
He practiced his right to respond to the Indian delegate, NK Premachandran, to claim Kashmir was, and “will always remain an integrated and inalienable part of India.” Premachandran, MP, also called Pakistan a “Fountainhead of Terror” and continued to comment on its internal affairs.
Asif Khan, a minister of the Pakistan mission to the UN, rejected the Indian claim and branded India as “the world’s largest producer of disinformation.”
Kashmir, he said, is an internationally recognized disputed territory whose final status is to be determined through a free and impartial plebiscite under the UN.
“Let me repeat that the UN Declaration in 1960 decrees that ‘all people’ under foreign submission is entitled to self-determination,” he said, adding that the court is also laid down in the UN Charter.

The Pakistani Delegat said that India’s claim to be the world’s greatest democracy was “hole.”
“The ruling RSS-BJP ideology has institutionalized Islamophobia and transformed persecution of minorities into state policy,” said Asif Khan.
