Pakistan hosts 8th International Army Team Spirit Event in Kharian

Pakistan Army hosted the 8th edition of the International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) competition at Kharian Garrison, which draws participation from local and international military teams.

The 60-hour high-intensity military exercise focused on patrolling in semi-mountainous terrain and was designed to improve fighting skills, adaptability and teamwork through a shared exchange of tactics and innovative techniques.

Seven teams from the Pakistani Army, a team from the Pakistani Navy, and 15 teams from friendly countries participated in the competition.

The exercise has evolved into a prestigious platform for military-to-military commitment and professional development.

Head of Movement Syed Asim Munir participated in the closing ceremony as a main guest. He praised the participants for their extraordinary professionalism, resilience and commitment shown throughout the exercise.

“The Pakistani army is proud of its values ​​of character, courage and competence. These traits have been consistently demonstrated in our fight against terrorism,” said General Munir.

The competition was held in the harsh hills of Punjab and emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote regional military cooperation and improve operational emergency preparedness under realistic conditions.

Earlier, the COAs said Thursday that the peace and freedom that enjoyed in Pakistan today is the result of the victims of the country’s armed forces.

The Army Chief made these comments during an investment ceremony held in General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

During the ceremony, General Asim Munir assigned military honors, including Sitara-I-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-in-Basalat, of officers and soldiers from the Pakistani Army.
