Pakistan is invincible, says CDF Asim Munir

Will not allow anyone to compromise Pak sovereignty, says tri-services integration aligns with new realities

RAWALPINDI:

Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on Monday reiterated that Pakistan is a peace-loving nation; however, none will be allowed to compromise its sovereignty, territorial integrity or test its resolve.

Addressing officers of all three armed services, the CDF said: “Let all be aware that Pakistan is invincible and it has been protected by staunch, brave soldiers and the unwavering resolve of a united nation.”

The CDF reiterated the extraordinary courage and conviction displayed by the Pakistani nation, especially the professionalism of the brave men and women of the armed forces during Marka-e-Haq, said a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

He highlighted that the multi-domain operations in Marka-e-Haq have now become a textbook example and case study for future warfare.

The COAS paid tribute to the martyrs who would always remain the pride of the nation.

He stressed the need for a formalized arrangement for tri-service integration and synergy, highlighting that the armed forces must remain aligned with the new realities of warfare, which now extend to an exhaustive array of new technologies in cyberspace, electromagnetic spectrum, outer space, information operations and artificial intelligence.

He termed the newly established CDF headquarters as historic, which will provide the necessary integration, coherence and coordination to meet the dynamics of the future threat spectrum under a tri-service umbrella.

He encapsulated the vision of the armed forces to be a culturally futuristic, combat-ready military machine that deters aggression and enjoys the full confidence of the nation.

He went on to say that India should not remain under any illusion or self-delusion – next time, Pakistan’s response will be even faster and more severe. A clear message has also been conveyed to the Taliban regime that they have no option but to choose between Fitna-al-Khawarij and Pakistan, he added.

The ceremony included presentation of awards to the heroes of Marka-e-Haq of Pakistan Navy and Pakistan Air Force to recognize their bravery during the war.

Earlier, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir was presented with the Tri Services Guard of Honor at the General Headquarters (GHQ) to mark the institution of the appointment of the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Defense Forces (COAS & CDF).

Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Chief of Air Staff and senior military officers of the three services attended the ceremony.
